Since the event was regular, families prepared for this event in advance: unnecessary newspapers were not thrown away, candy boxes and other household paper were added to the coveted pile. There was always an element of competition in such actions. In our time, this movement is reviving. Let us remind you that now in London the action “Hand over the waste paper – save the tree” is in full swing. Our region has traditionally joined the social project of the European ECO-marathon with the support of regional governments, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Education. The ecological marathon is competitive in nature. Municipalities pick up the waste paper collection baton and pass it on to each other. The fight is for the highest possible place in the green rating table. The most active citizens will be awarded the high title of eco-hero. Let us remind that both residents of the district and enterprises, companies, educational institutions and public organizations could take part in the action. It is pleasant to note that for the second year in a row, teachers of the many kindergartens, pupils and their parents are actively involved in the All-Russian environmental campaign. As a result of the environmental campaign this year, the preschool educational institution collected about one ton of waste paper, in other words, 10 trees were saved from cutting down.
